Vicious cycle of attitudes at work

or like I call it: Devil Cycle.

1. Static ineffective Organisation --> absence, poor perfomance
with
2. Managers who are sceptical and non-participative
with
3. Poor jobs, no feedback, little learning and no control/responsibility
with
4. Workers desinterested, lazy and resistant
leads to
1. ...

So it is easy to say, shit leads to shit.

This cycle can start anywere and always involve:
Organisation
Manager
Jobdesign
Worker

It is up to the organisation to reverse this cycle.
A variety of possibilities:
  • Give levels of control
  • Feedback
  • Rewardsystem
  • Participatory structure
  • New jobdesign
  • ...
Why I tell you that? I don't know, I have to learn it.
